 The Pool
« Thread Started on Jun 18, 2007, 10:00pm »

Pools in the run have caused controversy for years. Some people love them and some people hate them. Some people love the pool we have now and some people hate it.

What are your thoughts?

Hi. I have a three year old Chocolate Lab, Mika, who LOVES the pool. This is really the only place in the city that we can walk to where she can get wet and "swim", which is so nice in the summer since the heat makes it hard for dogs to be outside too long or get much excercise. It's true the water can get dirty and added to the dusty surface of the run, Mika always gets a bath, as soon as we get home, when she has been in the pool. It would be great if there was a permanent pool, big enough for large dogs to really swim, somewhere in the city....

It would be great to have a place where dogs could swim, but we can't really fit one of those in the dog run. We can, with a lot of work and money, make a cleaner place for them to get wet.
